Thanks to Sir "Mudgeon" for the tip to come visit. I'm so glad you enjoyed my blog. I started it as a place to whine and work out some "issues" but it's turning in to a lot of fun as I'm meeting new people! That's been such a huge plus for me.
Your photos are awesome! You have a wonderful family and your girls are lovely. I especially like the photo of your dog looking through the window!
I was raised in Orange County when it was the boondocks and there were still orange groves. I used to amble through them with my dog and explore. I despise being cooped up on a city lot.
We're hoping to move up to Tehachapi which is just about 45 miles east of Bakersfield but the altitude is much higher and will get us out of this nasty air down here.
It's amazing that it's such a small world, isn't it?
oh I love the photos! The bald eagle is the epitome of wild I think, and the blue heron is beautiful too.. the people running wild into the cold water is wildly funny!! take care:)
You've definitely got my vote on the "wild" with the polar dip in the water thing! Way more nerve than I have as I cringe at water that is even slightly cold in the summer time, much less in polar bear weather. The bird pictures though - super! Great comparisons there. (I didn't know till about 2 years ago that there are some bald eagles living at a state park about 40 miles from here. Geez, I should have figured it was possible since a town near this park is named "Bald Eagle." DUH! How dumb can I get?)
All three of those pictures are fabulous! I've never seen a Heron before - wonderful! Great choices for the hunt. Thanks for dropping by Happy weekend! L
Awesome Eagle and Blue Heron pics! But even more awesome is the pic with the Loons! Just kidding polar bears are cool (no pun intended)! Happy hunting :)
Just stopped by to say "hi". Thanks for the recent message. I appreciate the concern expressed. Still "recovering" my mental equilibrium so have not been around much. Getting better all the time.
I think you have captured the theme perfectly. I love to see photos of animals in the wild (and I don't mean the human type). But I do love to see people doing what they love and if they means they will go wild in the cold water - good for them!!
Love the picture of the bald eagle, there was a great web cam that someone set up near where I live that showed a pair of eagles sitting on their nest.
Hi RN, thank you for coming and wishing me happy birthday.
I love your photographs, but the one of the polar bear swim made me shudder. I'm afraid I don't like the cold at all - I'm a hothouse flower who lives in the subtropics of Australia.
For those of you who have commented on the Polar bear swim, if you check out the sidebar on my blog there is title "Polar bear swim" it is a 19 sec clip of the swim...I am the one in the black swim suit just coming out at the end of the clip....so yeah it was kind of wild and crazy for me!
Thanks to everyone for dropping by....it's been a fun day!!!
Thanks for the visit. Just looking at the "Polar Bear Plunge" makes me shiver. I think they have one scheduled here in Virginia Beach, but not until February and the air should be a bit warmer. Welcome to the hunt.

Hi there,
Yeah, you got your wild categories !
Both are great. I would have enjoyed being able to see real wild birds near home. That's COOL !
Take care ;)
My favourites are the blue heron & the waves going wild. Wonder if I dare wear my patent shoes? :-)
Lovely birds but the third picture just wants me to go get up and make some hot chocolate.lol

Great photos! Although the wildlife in the bottom one is a bit scary...
Great shots! All of those are definitely wild. :) The great thing about the photo hunt is that we can interpret the theme any way we want!

Terrific photos. They all look wild, although that last one looks a little crazy!

Gorgeous eagle shot.
Are those people crazy? Love the "acting wild" interpretation.

Love the idea of showing several sides of wild - and your choices for people gone wild.
I will be back later to read.

Love that last photo, but the wild life is very cool.

My sister and I did a Polar Bear swim on New Years Day a couple years ago ... in Cancun. Ha!
Thanks for stopping by mine :)
Thanks for the visit.

Welcome to the hunt.
Loved your "wild" pics!!
:-D
You certainly covered many aspects of wild, I especially loved the picture of the bald eagle.
:-)
Great take on the theme, and thank you for NOT showing girls gone wild in New Orleans!
a great variety of wild shots :) thanks for visiting us.
The theme is whatever you want it to mean:wild thing, people, places, colors, etc. That's the fun of it! Cool photos =)
