Saturday's Photo Scavenger Hunt

This weeks photo hunt has to do with Technology. My husband is in the granite industry and I have always been fascinated with the whole process of how they get the raw product of stone from the quarry to the end product.

These are finished products that my husband designed and made.

A good post for the hunt. I've seen how they do this on TV. It's pretty interesting how things are done.

Great photos.

I live in Aberdeen which is not know as 'The Granite City' for nothing! So many different colours, our house is faced with pink granite :-)

I can't seem to find the link for your husband anywhere on your blog.

When can he come over and install that stuff here at my house?

E-mail me and let me know.

It looks like the marble mines I visited in Italy. We have granite countertops in our kitchen. It is such a beautiful and varied stone.

Lovely granite work.

I've always been intrigued by the old quarry on Fox Island in Blind Bay (not far from Pender Harbour). Stone of any kind interests me for some reason :)

We had a granite island top put in our kitchen and I absolutely love it.

I never thought of that before - how they get granite, transport it and transform it into the beautiful things it often becomes. Neat post! Beautiful pictures.

Yes, is that in your kitchen and bath? How gorgeous and how great to be able to tell your hubby what you want and get it made to order. Someday!

Welcome to the hunt.....

I love granite counter tops. SO easy to keep clean and they look lovely. I remember when I was a very little girl visiting a granite quarry on Vancouver Island. It was a fascinating place.

Cheers,
Josie
