Well in my neck of the woods we have not had the snow most of you have but we have experienced some terrible wind storms, power outages and lots of rain. The groundhog saw it's shadow on February 2nd which meant that spring was only 6 weeks away. I found that so hard to believe at the time. However, yesterday the rain had stopped and the sun came out briefly, so I thought I would take advantage and get outside and do a little yard work. There is so much to be done. Anyhow, I was working in my front garden and I couldn't believe my eyes
And finally these chives and oregano.
Yes I guess spring truly is on it's way. Happy Thursday all!!!

No spring here in Alberta yet....but that is okay
enjoy your garden!
Definitely not spring here in Central Penna either! The ground still has the full coating of 10-12 inches of snow we got last week and this morning, we had a short but heavy snow squall. So, no new plants shooting up through the ground here as yet!
Can't wait to see those here!!

Wow, I would love to see my flowers coming up! We are still in cold, cold temps! At least today we got above 30 degrees (F). There is a strong wind that is blowing today (approx 30 - 45 mph), that just makes it seem so much colder! I cannot complain to much about the weather though. In December we had such warm temps my hostas started to crown through the dirt. I hope they will be okay this spring! Spring is just around the corner.
We're seeing loads of flowers and trees blooming here! Spring is still a month away too!
:)
I don't think I like you anymore!!!! LOL I show you how much snow we're getting now and you show me Spring flowers coming up??? The NERVE!!!! hehe Awwww it really does look like Spring is right around the corner over there...I know, my brothers who live in Vancouver are always showing me pictures of their Spring flowers while mine are still under snow! lol Hugs xoxo
my crocus' have been blooming for almost 3 weeks and today i discovered that my daffodils have buds on them! i can't believe how much life is in my garden for February
Oh wow, those are some REALLY great pictures right now. Thankfully it has warmed up over the last few days...counting down the days until Spring is officially here!
Yep here too! Saw my first bluebird this morning.
That is amazing, and either mother nature is confused or Spring appears to have sprung! Always encouraging to see new buds, herbs, and tulips sprouting! A sure sign of life coming full circle! :)
Congratulations! I'm still seeing snow! I'll just look at your tulips.
Nothing like that appearing here yet. The trees have buds, but they had those way before the winter actually hit here. I hope they will be okay after budding out and then having to deal witht he super cold temps we've had and the snow and ice! In the meantime, I'll just make more visits here to see the arrival of spring at your place!!!! Hugs
awe, you make me excited to grow plants this spring. it'll be nice
Here in Portland, our weather is much like yours on the island, but a few degrees warmer. We only had one serious snowfall this year, but another could happen as late as May.
Wow! That's amazing/shocking that there are plants growing already!
...That's global warming for you!
That's so good to see!!! Thanks for putting a smile on my face!
Hey Maryanne - I just wanted to say your sidebar looks great! I love seeing the coat of arms, the flag, the stellars jay and the dogwood - very nice to see a patriotic Canadian :)
No flowers coming up here. Been a terrible Feb.
