You know when I saw the theme something "Gross", I first thought what on earth could I possibly post. Working as a nurse I have seen so many gross things that I think I am a little bit immune to gross. Until today when my hubby showed me this picture....and well...to me the slimy look of this creature just oozes gross to me......
During the Tsunami in South East Asia in 2004 many deep sea creatures were washed to shore...this lovely creature was one of them it is called a Chimaera pup.

Wow, I have never even heard of a Chimaera pup. He doesn't look like any pup I have ever seen. He is very gross!

This chimaera pup's mother thinks her child is gorgeous. Is this what they mean by "a face only a mother could love"? Personally, I get grossed out looking at millipedes -- shivers up and down my spine -- and slugs.

I've never seen such an animal before and yes, it does look a bit slimy and gross, but I can't help but feel sorry for its distress as well.
