This week's theme is something "Soft" these are a few of the softest things I own. They each have a story. The Dalmatian "Dotty" was my youngest daughters, she gave it to me so when ever I got lonely and was thinking about her, I could cuddle Dotty. The bear in the back her name is "Mrs. Blue". I got her from some friends when I was sick in the hospital. So whenever I am sick I cuddle on up with Mrs. Blue and nice cup of tea. The last one is kitty or "Ginger" Hubby and I gave that to my mom when she was in the hospital, mom passed away three months after getting Ginger. But she would cuddle Ginger just as she was falling asleep.
Dotty, Mrs. Blue and Ginger
Happy Hunting all!!

That's soft!
You ought to add the link thing where people can add their name to the list who are participating in all these meme things. It's cool to check out who has been here and who is participating and such.

I know I should...and I want to...but for some reason every time I try and do that...it doesn't work! Thanks for dropping by....

Awww those are sweet!
If you follow the instructions at Mr. Linky, you'll get the hang of it! Once you click 'generate code' you have to put the code in the first box INTO your html template - that stays there forever. Then whenever you want to do a linky, you just past the second code at the bottom of your post - you will always get the "html" error message - just click "stop showing errors"(or whatever it is) and then publish again!
Feel free to ask me for help if you want - it took me a couple times to get it right :-) I don't mind at all - poor Heather (BeautifulBritishColumbia) has spent many a night walking me through stuff, so I don't mind paying it foward!
What cute photos of the cuddly kind! I really like the kitty! Thanks for visiting my photo of Matthew in the sink bath!
Very soft, and I love how each one has a special story.
Doesn't it seem like they make stuffed animals and teddy bears out of softer and softer material today, than when compared to my old stuffed teddy...
But perhaps I wore all his softness off the surface... but never out of his heart.
What precious memories these three hold.
Awww...they look like soft friends.
Very nice!! They all look super soft and cuddly.
nice and soft!
smiles, bee
what great memories associated with these animals. And they look nice and cuddly! Thanks for stopping by!
....*smiles*. And I thought I was the only one young enough at heart to actually name my stuffed animals.
What cute choices you have.
My SOFT is added! Hope to see you visit. (care to choose a name for her?)
What wonderful memories!! I'm partial to the cat!!
It always makes me feel better too when I can snuggle up to one of my special stuffed bears that mean so much to me:-) They sure can bring comfort!! Hope your day has been a great one so far:-) xox
They are cute, thanks for stopping by mine.
Oh and Bounce is a Lurcher, a greyhound crossed with something noisy.
Nice use of the theme and thank you for sharing the story along with it. While I'm thanking, thank you also for stopping by to visit me. I hope you have a great week!
:-)
I love Mrs. Blue, Dotty and Ginger....they look so soft and comforting....no wonder you love them so!!!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend with the girls!!!
Hugs
I love stuffed animals. I still have my little collection of animals I've kept over the years.
Oh lovely and soft - wonderful stories with each of them. Happy weekend.
Soft things and warm memories, very lovely.
A soft family of memories, a good thing.
What wonderful stories behind your soft friends. That was really nice of your daughter to give you Dotty.
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend.
Really great "soft" display there - also one that is very "soft-hearted" too. I have a polar bear (solid white, pointed snout) stuffed bear that a very nice old trucker friend of mine gave me about 20 years ago. Never named it though but it stays put up and out of reach of the little fingers loose in the house these days. And, someone above mentioned too that manufacturers seem to be making these things so much softer today too and boy, do I agree with that! Soft, fluffy, squeezable and seems to make them extra comforting.
My hubman doesn't understand why I'm drawn to these critters. I love the meaning behind yours...so very special.
~~~Blessings~~~
Lovely soft stuffed animals! Each of them holds a special memory. Thanks for sharing.
This reminds me of all the toys I had when I was little, and how they all have memories and stories behind them.
I have to ditto and say what great memories..
My big question to you is which city do oyu live in? Is it Denman Island or over on the Island somewhere...
We must have almost crossed paths seeing that I'm in North Van!
I guessed your location by the Cheers. ;-)
That's cute. I have that same little Dalmation. It's a Gund. And my daughter still has her antique teddy bear that her uncle brought her back from England. His name is Lewis (don't ask me why...)
Is it raining over there? It was snowing here yesterday.
Thats a lovely memory to share! Ginger looks so at home with Mrs Blue and Dotty. Oh i feel a little bit teary now!
It took me about 20 times to get Mr Linky right, i had to read the instructions out loud so they would sink in! it worked eventually, then you think how easy was that!
such sweet memories for a sweet picture! :)
beautiful picture, but mostly the beauty that shines from it's meaning outshines everything. Thank-you for sharing that.
Also it's great to see beautiful photos of my little neck of the woods. Isn't BC such a beautiful place to live? I never knew that the Steller Jay was our bird. They are such sassy creatures. But perhaos that is BC? Along with the beautiful perfect picture postcard scenery...there comes a little sass?
all the best, a fellow resident who lives not too far from you.
Awww! I just want to give them a hug!
I feel inspired to go buy a teddy tomorrow!
Hi, I found your blog because of poltics plus blog, tomcat. I say hello to him once and awhile. I love the way your blog is set up...mostly I love to hear about the island I live on because it is so neat to hear about it from someone elses point of view.
I don't get to my blog too often, I go to Malaspina full time. I will be out in April. As for dreams...I won't be an art teacher with a degree to teach because I have issues I can't fix....but I am going to be giving art lessons . Like the advisor said on the teaching board...you don't have to go to school to teach art or have a teaching degree...just put a sign out in my front yard and teach that way. I will have a degree in the Visual arts, however. :)
