As the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland would say....."I'm late I'm late for a very important date". For me that is my date with the tax man....here it is the 29th of March and I still haven't been in to submit my tax returns...urgh! I am anticipating a refund but still, I get all nervous about it, don't know why, just anything to do with the government gets me on edge.
So today I must gather all of my receipts and off to the accountant I must go!
On a much more pleasant note, on Tuesday I received the most wonderful little gift in the mail from my dear blog friend Pea. Pea was celebrating her blogs 1st year anniversary. In doing so she wanted to have a little contest. Well I won 3rd prize, and here is what I won.
But I must run things to do and places to be and another night shift awaits me. Cheers all and Happy Thursday all!

It's worse here. Since Bush instituted his middle class tax cuts as part of his no billionaire left behind the taxes on my my very lower class income have increased nearly $450. I don't envy you your visit there, but at least in Canada, the poor aren't paying more taxes for welfare for the rich, are you?
We had that visit with the tax man about six weeks ago... Most unpleasant as we owed big time..
Pea's truly among the sweetest I know!
:)
Like you, I don't appreciate anything that has even a tinge of the government aroma to it and especially not with respect to taxes!
The vase/candle holder is really very pretty as is the card - definitely keepers.
But what's with the two days in a row, "running late" intro? Are you starting to pick up vibes via cyberspace from my older daughter? Please, don't do that!!!
Hope all goes well for you on what is a chilly (very) but beautiful, sunny (also very) day!
In Fiddler on the Roof the Rabbi says there is a blessing for everyone. Someone asks the Rabbi if there's a blessing even for the Czar and the Rabbi says yes and intones
God bless and keep the Czar...
.............. FAR AWAY FROM US!
I feel much the same way about the tax man.
I've never trusted anything to do with the government! lol At least you know you'll probably be getting a refund so that's good:-) I'm so glad my little gift reached you safely!! Take care of yourself and hope you can relax soon!! xox
Congratulations!
Good luck with those taxes.
Pea was so sweet to send such a beautiful little gift.
Hope everything went well at the tax man. We did ours last month and I've already spent our refund. Hope you have an easy time of it. Don't be nervous.
We (Mike) did our taxes very early this year.. but it's easy for us as we don't have anything but his income to report.
I love the little vase :)
Oh, such a lovely gift for such a lovely lady!
