Oooo... you have so many pictures of birds not commonly seen in Singapore. I know a woodpecker through the cartoon character Woody Woodpecker. hehe....
The woodpecker!! Woodpecker on pecking on a piece of wood :P You've got a real 'woody' entry here!
All great photos, but the one of the baby elephant is really cool and yes I saw and thought the same thing right away.

I love your choices for the theme, particularly the woodpecker, that's terrific!

Wow, so many types of birds found near your place. What is that white stuff stuck on your wood shed. I love the Eagle shot. We don't have much wildlife soaring around here so we need to go to the Bird Park.
And yes I see a mini Mammoth by the beach..hehe

So much wood! Beautiful shots. You're like me---you see the theme and think of every photo you have that can fit in with it! ;-) I don't see woodpeckers like this in TX, but we do have another variety.
Have a Nice Weekend!
I am amazed that you got so many birds to sit still for a portrait. As soon as I turn the camera on, their off. That's why I take so many flower pictures. They stay put.
beautiful photos!
I think old wooden objects are so lovely - it is as if their cracks and crevices are the wrinkles of their lives.
I saw an elephant right away - my next thought was a child putting her arm out to let another child sneak in for a hug.
Great shots, Mary Ann. By the way, I tried to email you but it bounced back. Please email me at seafairwest@hotmail.com
I'd have to agree - the piece of driftwood does look like a baby elephant. Great photos!

Hello Mary Ann,
These are splendid photos for the theme. Love that Arbutus tree in particular. Your 'baby elephant' was perfect.
It's good to be reading you again.
Those are fabulous photos. You live in a beautiful area where you can see all those birds, lucky you...ciao
The beach wood that looks like an elephant is my favorite.
It looks exactly like a baby elephant! Good find. These are all beautiful photos. What kind of camera are you using? Do you guys ever get snow?
I went to the beach for a while today and spotted a small piece of interesting driftwood that I can use in what some would call a Zen Garden that I'm going to make.
Mary anne, these are great photos. Each one better than the last with the "baby elephant" as the crowning glory. Thanks for the visit and have a great weekend.
Great picture of all sort of wooden things.
I don't believe we here have a tree that sheds it bark but we have a tree called a western larch (tamrack) that some what looks like a pine tree and sheds it needles.
Great photos.
I actually see a monkey's head and its arm. What does that say about me?
