Saturday Scavenger Photo Hunt

It's Saturday Photo Hunt and today's Theme is "Wooden"

Being the bird lover that I am....here is a photo of a woodpecker, pecking on some wood outside our house....
And here's a wild turkey standing on a "Wooden" fence in the woods door the road from us.

Here are some quail in my yard outside my "wooden" shed and wood pile......

Stellar Jay, perched on the bird feeders which is attached to my "wooden" shed next to the wood pile.An eagle sittinng on a branch in the "woods" at the hatchery down the road from us.

The "Wooden" suspension bridge that I just crossed....

The arbutus tree.....the only tree that sheds it's bark...

This piece of "wood" reminded me of a baby elephant.....what does it look like to you?

If you would like to join in the fun please check out

tnchick for all of the instructions. Happy Hunting all!

Oooo... you have so many pictures of birds not commonly seen in Singapore. I know a woodpecker through the cartoon character Woody Woodpecker. hehe....

Wow, so many types of birds found near your place. What is that white stuff stuck on your wood shed. I love the Eagle shot. We don't have much wildlife soaring around here so we need to go to the Bird Park.
And yes I see a mini Mammoth by the beach..hehe

So much wood! Beautiful shots. You're like me---you see the theme and think of every photo you have that can fit in with it! ;-) I don't see woodpeckers like this in TX, but we do have another variety.

Have a Nice Weekend!

I am amazed that you got so many birds to sit still for a portrait. As soon as I turn the camera on, their off. That's why I take so many flower pictures. They stay put.

beautiful photos!

I think old wooden objects are so lovely - it is as if their cracks and crevices are the wrinkles of their lives.

I saw an elephant right away - my next thought was a child putting her arm out to let another child sneak in for a hug.

It looks exactly like a baby elephant! Good find. These are all beautiful photos. What kind of camera are you using? Do you guys ever get snow?

I went to the beach for a while today and spotted a small piece of interesting driftwood that I can use in what some would call a Zen Garden that I'm going to make.

I don't believe we here have a tree that sheds it bark but we have a tree called a western larch (tamrack) that some what looks like a pine tree and sheds it needles.
