or my Valentine's Day post. And it falls along the lines again of things I remember I love.Do your remember all those cards your children made you over the years? Or if your were/are a teacher all the cards you received from your students....or a card that was given to you by someone who meant so much to you?
Well I have to admit, I am one of those parents that has saved almost every card or piece of art work my daughters ever made me and I am so happy that I did. On Tuesday after looking at all the themes on love I remember how much love my daughters gave me when they presented me with those cards....well now still having them....I treasure them even more. And so for my Valentines Day post I would like to share with you some of the little treasures my daughters gave me for Valentines when they were young.....
The above is the front and inside of a card my eldest daughter gave me, she was in grade 2 at the time....she's now 22.

And finally, this one is from my youngest daughter, I can't believe I didn't have this dated...but knowing what her language and writing skills were I think this was grade 4...she's now in grade 10 and I still get the most fabulous homemade cards from her.
Whatever your plans for Valentine's Day, I wish you all much love and happiness.

I've saved a few of these myself, haven't a clue where they are at the moment. I did find a handmade card Drew had given his grandma with a hand print. Nothing tugs at the heart string more then looking at those delicate little hands.
He hand size has quadrupled and so has my love for him. I called him my baby the other day to his dad, his reply no he's a man, indeed he is, but will always be my baby.
Happy V day.
What a great valentine's day post. Now I'm going to have to hunt through my saved cards from my daughter. Those are wonderful cards you saved. I too am glad that I saved mine from my daughter.
Happy Valentine's day, Carver
I have so many saved items that the children have given me over the years and I treasure each and every one of them. I even have cards and artwork that the grand cildren have made for me put away in a safe place (after being on display on the refrigerator for the alloted amount of time, of course). It seems I always have at least one or two pictures from the grand children on the fridge on display.........love it!
Happy Valentine's Day to you my dear friend!
happy v-day!
Happy Valentine's Day!

It's a beautiful post... Happy Valentine's Day.
I'm excited, I'll getting three teeth pulled today, I love getting rid of teeth.
Ah, love, not as easy as it was 30 or 40 years ago in a simpler world. I'll pass on it for now, I'm tired of the Insane Chicks Society.
Have a great day.
Like you I've saved all the cards my offspring made for me as a child, I can't seem to throw them away. When I was cleaning out my Mom's room I found every home made card my grandson made for her, I guess I come by the hoarding honestly. I'm sending all these cards back to the boys so they will know much their great grandmother loved them. Happy Valentines Day to you...ciao
What treasures those are. I saved TONS of stuff, too. :)
I see a few changes around here. :)
It is really neat that you have saved these...I am the same way and have saved almost every blessed thing in creation that my children ever made me...(I have three girls) and now a boy...so I am sure I will be adding to the boxes soon....LOL!
What wonderful Valentine treasures. I have a chest full of the things my son made over the years. I'm going to go rummage around in it now (if I can lift it!)
Have a wonderful day.
What an absolutely precious and special post! I save everything my nieces make for me, because I want to be able to look back at them too.
Don't you just love those handmade "cards" though? I have one now that Maya made for me last week for Valenine's Day -a bit early, but that was ok. I put it on the Freezer door -where all good art work like that should go ya know. Don't you know, she came through about an hour later and removed it? Last I saw of it, it was laying on the living room floor just before her dad came through on a "sweep" mission to clean the floor. He had no clue it was a valuable item. But, since the artist lives here, I suppose I can always get her to make me another one!
Those are so precious!
Happy V-Day!
wow!you still keep those cards.It's a precious now!Happy valentine's day!
precious indeed!! happy valentine's day :)
What wonderful memories! I keep all my kids stuff too, it must be a mom thing.
I have something for you over at my blog.
Aw those are so sweet! I have a little slip of paper in my purse which says
"I love you very mush"
from my son then aged 5, now 32.
Those are lovely. The hand print one almost made me cry. I need to go find my box of saved stuff. Some days I just wish they had never grown up. I miss those little kids.
Those kinds of cards are better than any Hallmark card you could have received. It reminds me of how my Christmas tree used to look like with all the things the girls made over the years and we hung on our tree. Thanks for the memories.
Really effective info, thanks so much for the post.
