Our day in Victoria....

Well we did opt to make the drive to Victoria last evening, and it was a good thing as it turns out the pass was closed due to fog and motor vehicle accidents this morning.....so had we waited we might not have made it through.

It was a pleasant enough drive. My truck drove very well. We had managed to get a special rate at one of the hotels dowtown which was offering a bed and breakfast rate. Hubby has been suffering from a terrible cold and wasn't up for doing much of anything last evening, so after dinner we retired early.

This morning we were up at the crack of dawn....so we decided to take advantage of the pool, jacuzzi and sauna that the hotel had to offer. It was lovely. After the hot tub and swim, it was off for an early breakfast. Hubby had some business he wanted to take care of while we were in town so after breakfast we checked out of the hotel and took care of some business.

After that we still had a couple of hours to kill before my appointment, so we decided that we would take a stroll along the beach and just enjoy some of the sights.

I didn't get much information from the nuerosurgeon, he couldn't access my current CT scan so he arranged for me to have another one, which I had today while I was in Victoria. He is going to arrange for me to see a neurologist who I think is going to do some nerve studies....so it's still in the investigative stage right now....sounds like we will have to make another trip down to Victoria, but that's ok....the weather is improving and if it turns out to be as pleasant as a time as this trip I won't mind.

Mary Anne, I haven't had a chance to visit many blogs lately, so I am just catching up. Are you okay? You're visiting a neurosurgeon?

Gosh, I hope you're doing okay.

Cheers,
Josie

Just make sure you keep us all posted on how things are progressing with the shoulder problem. Sounds like a good idea to me to have the studies done -be better informed all the way around that way I would think.

I've lived here for ten years now and haven't been to Victoria yet, and it's only a short ferry ride away.

Well, I may never get there but I have nice beaches and mountains here also and I'm not much interested in the towns.

Good luck on the health care.

beautiful slide show

and you have such a great attitude about needing more tests. I get frustrated very quickly with Drs. and just throw up my hands.

you're stronger than I am ;)

Oooo... I love your slideshow... it's awesome!!! You live in such a pretty area but then I find the entire province so pretty!
I hope you are doing well. I think about you lots and lots.
Keep us informed of your CT scan and your neurologist visits. I hope all goes well and something good comes of all of this soon. You do need some relief.

I'm sorry you weren't able to receive answers and must wait upon more tests and studies to determine the problem. Hang in there, girlfriend. I know it isn't easy, but you're doing a good job of it, so keep up the good work!

Love the photos. Is it warm enough there to go without a coat outdoors? The tmep here today is 17 with a windchill factor of 11.

Take care and we'll get in touch soon! Hugs
