Today will be the first week for Heads or Tails Tuesdays. My dear blog friend Skittles has come up with this weekly meme. Each week there is a theme and you chose how you want to present it. Check out
Skittles Place to get the instructions and the blog roll. I hope you join in on the fun.
This week's theme is "Beginning"
I have chosen to do a pictoral review of when we got our dog "Bert"
This is our dear Bert....the first day we got him from the SPCA, he had been abondoned...we fell in love with him first sight...the floppy ear was a big attraction for both hubby and I...Bert was 9 weeks old in this photo....

We just thought he was so cute...and wanted him to have a chance at a new "Beginning"

Bert at 4 months old.....hubby had just let him outside....I don't think he was to impressed with the snow!

Almost a year later....

Bert at play.....

Bert today.....our dear Bert is almost 3 years old....we love him to pieces.

Great post! I loved the pictures of Bert but especially the one outside, looking in from the snow. He looks like he's asking why he's being punished. "Hey! What'd I do now, folks?" Too cute.
I have to tell you when your page came up and I saw Bert I got a big smile on my face!
I have always loved the picture of him on your sidebar and it's nice to hear his story.
We got our dog from the Humane Society, too.
What a dear puppy Bert is! And how wise you are to have adopted from the SPCA! Is that a baseball bat he's dragging around?
Great post! I love dogs - therefore, I love posts about dogs ;-) Bert is adorable and beautiful!
Bert has the sweetest face ever!
I love rescue stories!! Thanks for sharing!
That is one big dog...one big beautiful dog. I can't believe someone abandon him.
How could anyone abandon such a cutie? He grew up to be a big guy too! I absolutely adore the picture of him looking in the door!
I am glad you were able to rescue this lovely dog
He's huge! Do you know his breeds? Oh well, he's quite lovely and looks like he's a great dog.
He is adorable!
Bert looks like quite a guy!
Thanks for the visit!
Awww.....What a cute dog. He looks a little like my dog. When I clicked on you at Skittles' Place the link didn't work. I had to click on you in my comments to see your site. You should check it out to see if it's just my computer or if it's the link.
Bert is beginning to look like he could eat you out of house and home?
Nice series of pictures.
What a great story for this meme. Bert is so neat looking, no wonder you gave him a good home. Thanks for stopping by my blog :)
For those that wanted to know what kind of dog Bert is...he is part Yellow Lab and Shepard.....hubby says there is Kangroo in there some place as well....as far as eating....he actually only eats one good meal a day plus I give him two dog snacks a day....the only time he ever gets anything from the table is if hubby has had a steak..then he gets the bone....
Bert is beautiful. The abandoned ones always have the most love to offer. I'm glad Bert found you all!
hello
yeah, there are lead site available in canada, i've browsed this one a while ago. http://www.abcleads.com/health-insurance-leads.html
Bert is beautiful! Is he as cuddly as he looks - like a sweet ol' teddy bear?
Thanks for your congratulatory wishes - so sweet!!
Nice. Very nice beginnings.
What are you studying next month?
I went to college before I had kids. Did not graduate. Had kids, stayed home and just went back to school 2 years ago. I was planning on the LPN program but realized that wouldn't be enough for me. I like college and I want to do mental health or pain management so I need the BSN. I should be getting my AA in June and if all works out start as a junior at PLU in their BSN program.
I figure I'll be 60 before I finish. LOL.
GREAT beginnings!!
take care and happy wednesday today :)
By the way - I have tagged you - go check out my blog for the details.
