Happy Friday....

Another week is coming to an end...and with that so is our time with the boys. I know I have regaled you all with our daily adventures and I am sure by this time you must be getting bored. We have the boys for such a short period of time and we wanted to make the most of our time together. By making the posts about our adventures I am hoping that if the boys get home sick for the west coast, all they would have to do is look up my blog and remember all the good times we spent together and that that would put a smile on their face. They are a huge part of our lives. I know both their father and I are going to feel such a void when they go. I am not looking forward to Monday when we must say our goodbye's at the airport....it will be heart wrenching seeing them leave and having to let them go. Divorce is difficult, especially when children are involved. We hope that our time spent with them has had a positive impact on them. It is very difficult to be involved in their daily lives and to feel like you are providing them guidance, love and support when they live over 4000km away. I know I shouldn't wish or rush my life away, but Christmas can't come soon enough as it brings with it the best gift of all..... our wonderful boys.

On a cheery note....a dear blogger akelamalu has bestowed upon me the Inspirational Blogger Award.

Now I must pass this along. I always feel so honoured when I receive such awards and hence I take it very seriously when I pass it along. There are way to many blogs out there that have an impact on my life and find it difficult to limit the number....I think all the blogs I visit on a regular basis are inspirational to me in one way or another....so what I want you all to do...is take this award...post it on your blog...and if you feel there is a blogger out there that really provides you with inspiration then go and pass this award on to them. Again thank you to Akelamalu for the award.

I want to close this post with a "Thought for the Day" this one has to do with Parenting.....

If we try to control and hold our children, we lose them. When we let them go, they have the option of returning to us more fully.........~Anne Wilson Schaef

Mary Anne, I love your blog. I always feel as if I am taking a trip to my beloved Island when I visit you. You're so lucky to be living there, and I know your boys will cherish their visits with you. My goodness, you live in the most beautiful place on earth, and in all your posts, the boys looked so happy to be spending time with you. You're building happy memories, and that is always a positive thing.

Cheers,
Josie

You could never bore us with such beautiful pictures and adventures:-) I've just caught up with your latest posts...I'm sooo behind visiting my friends these days...and thorougly enjoyed reading what you all have been up to! I can imagine how hard it will be to see the boys going home on Monday but know that the memories you and their dad are giving them are precious and they will always remember them. Congratulations on the award...you don't realize it but you truly are an inspiration to many of us:-) Like my dad use to say..."You've done good" :-) xoxo

RN, I'm sorry the boys are leaving, even if it means we might see a little more of you. Giver your personal qualities, there is no way the effect you have had on them could be anything short of outstanding. Congrats on your award. You are NOT boring.

I've just discovered your blog through some other blogs. Great pictures. I'm sorry your boys will be gone soon.

You are not boring! ;)

I have been w/o internet access for nearly two weeks, so I'm happy you've been "boring" us with your tales. It makes it so much easier for me to keep up when I'm webless.

My advice on parenting - "Children are neither to be seen nor heard." j/k :)

Catching up here, Mary Anne, and I know how hard it'll be to say "au revoir" to the boys. But from all the photos you have here, all you need to do is the same as them - just look at the pictures and relive the time in your heart. And email - LOTS! :D
