I haven't been around to participate in this for a couple of weeks. This week is Tails and we are to choose 10 things keeping in the same theme. Well with this being the month for Halloween and all things scary I thought I would list 10 things that scare me......10 things that scare me:
1. Spiders...don't mind the little ones but it's those ones that you swear are
looking at you that give me the creeps....
looking at you that give me the creeps....2. I don't like walking across suspension bridges....although I have it scares me.....
3. I don't like swimming in open waters....like jumping out of a boat and swimming....I think that goes back to the days when the movie Jaws came out.....

4. I don't like glass elevators.......

5. Living on the Island I am not faced with this that much....but when I lived on the mainland I had to cross them all the time....bridges....I don't like to drive across bridges......

6. I don't like scary bloody movies....like Halloween movies.....

7. I know this is going to surprise a lot of you.....but I have difficulties watching the first cut in a surgical procedure....once the wound is open I am ok...but that first cut I just don't like....

8. The Dentist.....I hate the noise of the drill, the smells, everything about the dentist.....they call me the white knuckle patient when I am there.....

9. Driving in the dark....especially in the winter......
10. The feeling you get just before a plane is to land...the anticipation of the touch down.....

So there you have it 10 things that scare me......happy Tuesday all...... If you want to join in on the fun check out Skittles Place

Love the list. A few of those things scare me too.
I hate jumping spiders. You never know when they're gonna come right at you!
Have a great Tuesday!
I am not fond of bridges myself or tunnels either. When I lived in MI my mom and I would go to Toronto to see her family quite often. It's either a huge bridge over Lake St. Claire I think or a 30 minute tunnel under the water. UGH!!!
Have a great day!
First time playing heads or tail. My list isn't as fancy as some of them.
But oh well it will get bigger and better as time goes by.
Anyhow great list....I've never been in a glass elevator.
#1 and #5 don't bother me much but I can identify with all the rest.
I think the only thing I'm scared of on that last is swimming in open water. Not because of the sharks, but because I swim like a brick.
Also that movie - Open Water. It was so bad it was scary.
I don't even like swimming in lakes anymore. I have to be able to see my feet. :)
I'm with you on all the others too except the bridge one. :)
Living where I do, I HAVE to go through tunnels and over lots of bridges to get anywhere. So I'm used to it, except I do NOT like to stop in the Massey tunnel. I always feel like it's going to cave in on me and I'll be trapped. Spiders don't bother me at all but I HATE snakes and worms. I used to be like you at the dentist, too, but I found a wonderful lady dentist and she is the best. I can now almost fall asleep when getting my teeth cleaned. I think the only thing that scares me now is if something bad happens to my daughters and/or grandson. I'm pretty upbeat most of the time.
how cold is your winter there? Please tell us more about the island. It sounds so fascinating and I would like to know more about it.Where can I find more information. I want to relocate, and in the process of researching. I am from u.s. so I am not sure what immigration or work permit I need to do. thanks. Heather

#3 got me - I am SO afraid of sharks. There isn't much that I am afraid of, but to be honest, I don't think that I could persuade myself to swim in the ocean, because I really am afraid of sharks!
You had me at #1.. hate those things.
I hate driving in the dark as well, I always have to for work but it's not too bad as it's just five minutes...but I used to have to drive home from school right through deer country. Never once saw a deer thankfully.
I agree with most of those, especially # 10!! Happy H/T :P
Great list!
I'm with you on #2 and 4.
what a great list. I think I can agree with you on everything there! But that surgery? forget about it! The whole thing would make me pass out.
We share some of the same fears........love your list. Will try to catch up with you soon......miss you!
Hugs!
How more alike could we be??? My list would be EXACTLY like yours because all of these things scare the bejeebers out of me. I would add worms and snakes to the list. Seeing an open wound on someone or seeing eyes being operated on gives me the willies and make my thighs hurt (ever happen to you?).
I once had a period of time when I white-knuckled over all sorts of bridges, but especially those steel ones where you could see through the roadway. It took me years to get over that one. I'm also afraid of heights and closed-in spaces (especially dark ones). I'm also terrified of guns. I would use one to defend myself but I wouldn't want someone to point one at me. And I hate to see the results of someone getting shot by a big caliber weapon or someone getting impaled by something. Ugh. Gives me the goosebumps.
Do you get the impression that we are a bunch of scaredy-cats? Not so. I'm generally pretty brave about most things and can stand up under pressure as I am sure you can too. It's just when we start analyzing what scares us, that the lists become longer and longer, don't they?
I hate spiders, too. Before I had my eye surgery, I was wiping my face on a towel in the shower. It had a brown spot, but I thought it was a stain since I couldn't see very well. On closer inspection, it was a SPIDER!! I screamed, threw the towel out and stomped it mercilessly for several minutes. Then, I couldn't even pick the towel up. I had to make my hubby do it!
