Saturday's Photo Scavenger Hunt

This weeks theme is "Childhood" This is a hard one. I thought about having pictures of my girls, then and now photos. Then I thought about things I liked to do as a child and games I liked to play. But I thought I would save that for another post. There are not many pictures of me as a child I think for two reasons. One I was baby number 10 and I think my parents were getting tired of taking pictures and two we were unfortunate to have to experience two house fires one in which everything was lost and the other half the house was lost. Anyhow, I have these two pictures they are the only professional pictures my parents ever had taken of me. I was 4 years old. The photo is black and white but it was a Christmas picture as I remember the dress being a red velvet and the photo was taken in December 1966.

Happy Hunting all!

Baby number 10!!! I have 3 and my poor third one has hardly any pictures or movies. Your parents did pretty well actually. If I had 10 there would be no photos at all for numbers 4 - 10!! Thanks for stopping by!

how sad that you've lost your baby, and growing up photos! Did you ever ask your Aunts, Uncles and Cousins if they have any? I really enjoyed your tale of two that you work with! You MUST ask them if they have ever gone to Twinsburg, Ohio for the Twin Festival! This will be my twin and my, 19th conssecutive trip! If they are interested, have them go to Twinsdays.org for info, or come and comment in my blog and we can get info to them! Thanks so much for visiting my blog this weekend!

My mom had two more babies after me.....she was thinking maybe cheaper by the dozen....or maybe she was trying to even the numbers....6 girls and 6 boys is what we ended up with!

Thanks all for your commnets!

Happy Saturday to you all!

My goodness you grew up in a large family. Those are wonderful pictures of you when you were 4. I thought about posting similiar pics, till I came across pics me on a motorcycle at 10 years old.

Your red velvet dress looks lovely! I like the matching headband, too. Cute photos! It's a shame you don't have more :(

These are beautiful photos - I remember getting my first brand new dress when I was 4 (it was blue). My Dad actually took me to buy it and he let me wear it on the way home. I have memories of stopping to admire myself in the shiny hubcaps of every car we passed. :D

Hello. Thanks for stopping by my Photo Hunt.

These are very precious photos and I'm sure they hold many memories for you. I was surprised your parents have a dozen children. Many couples don't want more children these days. I have only one son. hahaha....

Wonderful photos! You were very cute! Those photos were also very well done. How sad that you lost so much in the fires. :( Both my mom's mom and dad came from 10-kid families (10th and 9th respectively) so they only have a few childhood photos too.

Hi smalltown
these are great photos, lovely little girl.

I lost your blog for a while, did you change your URL? I had the wrong link on my blogroll so thought you had taken down your blog when I kept getting the error message.
