This morning I awoke early at 0530...not being able to sleep any longer I got up, made my coffee and got a start to my day. I decided today I would have to get myself registered online for my course and review the overview material and start on week one's assignment. Well it was a bit more challenging than I thought. I have never done a course online and it presents a whole new realm of learning strategies that I am unfamiliar with....but after almost 4 hours online I got my self registered...did my introduction....familiarized myself with the course outline and the maneuverings of the site that I will have to work with...it was all a bit daunting at first...but I think I can do this.....so I am shouting it out for me!!!!
Next, I have been on a personal pursuit for losing weight. To date according to the scale I have lost 23lbs....My weight seems to fluctuate daily up a pound down a pound....anyhow....one of the major things I have been doing to lose my weight is running. I use to run a lot, but when I moved to the Island I got out of the habit and never found a comfortable place to run. Anyhow, I started running...subconsciously setting goals for myself, gradually working myself up to my ultimate goal. After working on line for 4 hours I decided I needed to go for my run. Today, without planning I reached my goal....actually I exceeded my goal by 1.24 km. Yup today I ran 11.24km. There is the route that I run and I have had a goal that I wanted to make it to a certain point and back....well today I did that.....I can't tell you how happy I am.....I think this picture will give you an indication as to how happy I was.....
Now only 8lbs to go and I will be at my goal weight and be a very happy camper........Yippee!!!!
Now onto a completely different topic. Hubby reached a goal as well. He wanted to get out fishing. The salmon are running and my oh my there are fish to be had. Hubby and his dad went fishing last week and look at what they caught......
Hubby cut and cleaned it and well needless to say we had bar -b- qued salmon for dinner last night.....yummmmy!
So there you have it....my version of Shout it out!.....cheers all

You look fantastic in that picture!
I cant run at all, walk for miles (sort of) but running knackers my poor old knees :(
Bloody hell they are some big fish!
Wow! Congrats not only on reaching your running goal but also on almost making it to your goal weight! I think you've given that excess to the salmon. lol I'm about 14 lbs from "my" goal weight, but unfortunately I can't run because of back problems and osteoarthritis in the knees. But I do try to walk as much as possible and soon I'm going to take out a monthly card for the rec center. Then when the weather is bad I can use the treadmill and recumbent bike as well as the light weights. Man o man I wish we lived closer so you'd invite me over for bbq salmon - it's one of my all time favourite meals! And it's good for you! Enjoy!
One of my favorite meals when I was eating right was a good salmon steak!
So proud of you and your Hubby!
:)
Excellent salmon catch indeed. Very impressed. Have not had a chance to get out and catch Salmon yet. Out here in the middle of the mountains it's a little difficult but that will be my goal one of these days is to get out to the coast! Beautiful pics and congrats on the weight loss! Woohoo.... you go girl!! I'm so proud of you! I wish I could do it!
You are truly amazing and an inspiration to those of us (me) who have no willpower or motivation! Big high five!
Now that's what I call a fish! I bet the eating was good. :)
I'd have to lose about 50 lbs to hit my goal weight! I like ice cream to much and I can't run from a bear.
You look fabulous. those fish look pretty good as well. Our dove dinner turned out well, not quite as good as your salmon was I'm sure.
Well all that was really something to shout out about!!
You look great are you sure you need to lose more weight???
You DO look fantastic!!!!
You are my inspiration now. Great job!! And I'm excited for you and your course doings - that'll be fun .. keep us posted on it :)
Wow... you are almost at your goal weight... I admire anyone who can run and looks happy to do it.I can't run with both of my knees having been replaced with total knee replacements three months ago.I still go to PT 3 times a week, plus exercise at Curves 3 days a week.
The salmon look very good.I just started eating salmon a few weeks ago.It was a great taste without being fishy... Baba
Woohoo! Look at you! To have already lost 23 lbs and to have met your goal at how far you wanted to run, well that is just FANTASTIC:-) Keep up the great work, my friend!! As for those salmons the men caught, omigosh look at the size of them...wonderful! I've never had salmon cooked on the bbq...I know, I'm so deprived! lol xoxo
Hey, you skinny minny, you look WONDERFUL...!!!! Good for you.
That salmon looks pretty wonderful too. And great for the diet, BTW.
Save me some... :-)
Cheers,
Josie
Great looking salmon! I'm dreaming of all the great dishes I could do w/that catch: salmon and dill over saffron rice, salmon dip with rosemary croutons, salmon and tofu stir fry.
Were you saying something about losing weight (ha! ha!)
You look great and kudos for reaching your goal.
Debo Blue
Congrats! You are glowing in that picture - you are a poster child of why to run.
Let me warn you in no uncertain terms.
DO NOT FALL BEHIND IN YOUR ONLINE COURSE!
Those classes are so easy to fail.
You simply must do work each and every day...
Seriously, online classes are the toughest to complete because there is no classroom to attend each day.
It is so easy to put off doing assignments until everything is due all at once and there isn't enough time t get it all done.
Stay focused.
You look fabulous.
Mary Anne, congrats on both getting through an online application and meeting your goal.
WOW - what a catch,,,and i don't mean the fish (hah hah!) -- seriously though, congrats on your running and reaching your goals!...well done!
oh yummy!
congrats on the weight loss and the running goal! you look great!
