Well here we are the middle of another week. My how time flies. We spent the weekend on the mainland for my sisters wedding. The rain that was forecasted off....however, it would have been nice for a little sprinkling to cool things down a bit. It got very hot and muggy. The wedding ceremony was outside...I felt like the witch from the Wizard of Oz....."I'm melting....". My sister looked so happy and I must say I have never heard so many wonderfully romantic things come out of her hubbies mouth as they did that day. The Justice of the Peace who performed the ceremony was the grooms grade 7 teacher. Small world isn't it. She did a lovely job and made it so personable. My eldest brother(the one who lived with me this past fall/winter) walked my sister down the isle. He wore a tux and he did look rather dapper, so I asked him if he had ever worn one before, he said no...so I said well I guess there is no time like the present....we had a good chuckle.
Everyone in the family helped out with the wedding. My eldest sister was the MC and took control of making sure everything flowed from the set up to the take down. Everyone helped with the decorations....and boy was there a lot to do in that department. My nephew made the wedding cake and I was asked to add my artistic flare by decorating the cake. I chose to use fresh roses and ivy.....it turned out better than I imagined.....hubby didn't get a picture I wish he had as it was something I would use in the future, and my sister in law made my sisters wedding gown. It was a busy couple of days, and everything came together...

So there you have it our weekend and the wedding. The boys are already asking what their next adventure will be. I have a few cards up my sleeve so I will keep them guessing until I get off of night shifts.
Until next time....cheers!

Mary Anne, what an absolutely gorgeous family you have...!
I'm so glad the weather was nice for the wedding. It's raining again today.

I'm so glad to hear that your sister's wedding went so well AND that it didn't rain!! I so loved seeing all the pictures...you all look terrific and I especially love the one of you, hubby and your girls:-) Congratulations to the new bride and groom!! xox
I am happy that the day was beautiful and sunny even if a bit on the hot side....it beats thunderstorms and torrential downpours!
What a great looking bride and groom! And look at your brother in his tux....looking all handsome! You and hubby and girls are all very attractive too.......okay, I might be a little prejudiced, but only a little! You are all a good looking bunch! Glad you had a great time....wish you had pics of the cake to post, I would have loved to seen it.
Hugs, my friend!!
I love your sister's wedding gown! What a lovely day and lucky you could have the wedding outdoors. Yes, it was hot, but you all look so cool...
Beautiful wedding photos! What a nice group photo of you, your hubby and your beautiful daughters.
xo
you have a lovely family-your girls are beautiful. your sister looked fantastic!
the wedding looks lovely and so does your beautiful family!
smiles, bee
Nice wedding pics. It looked like a real relaxed, fun wedding. I like outdoor events like that - they're always more casual and memorable than a rented hall or a church. Hopefully you danced the night away!!
Also your girls are knockouts! (not meant to be creepy in any way)
Looks like a lovely wedding with lots of lovely people. You and your sister look a lot alike, especially the side view of her. I see just a hint of gray in your hair, makes you look stately. hehe.
It's so nice when a big event like this comes off well, isn't it?
Best wishes to the new couple.
Don't you just love going to Wedding's Mary Anne? Your daughter's are all so pretty!
Lots of smiles and everyone looks happy.
Since getting married myself I am a big fan of this celebration...
Glad everything went smooth and I wish we'd have seen the cake too.

I can see a lot of resemblance with you and you sister! What a lovely day it must have been. Thanks for sharing it with us. :)
My youngest sister in Texas recently got married...we did not make the wedding reception but had a big sister's get together this past weekend in KY...I really liked her new Hubby, he fit in with our family like he had been with us for years. Your family pic is sooo good!!
:)
I'm so glad the wedding went well, those pictures came out nice...I especially love the one with your husband and your daughters...that came out especially nice.
Congratulations to the beautiful, happy couple. I loved all the pictures and your immediate family is gorgeous -- three beautiful girls with their beautiful mother and handsome stepfather.
So glad you had such a great get together with your family on this auspicious occasion.
I LOVE WEDDINGS! - and i still have fond memories of the wedding my friend and i "crashed" in Maui, while on our regular morning walk along the beach we ended up at that stretch of beach with all the big posh hotels...the manager and his bride were having a traditional Hawaiian wedding, so we just stood there in our bathing suits and watched. What fun...so today i am once again enjoying this peek into your sister's happy day.
WHAT LOVELY PHOTOS - i sure am enjoying looking at them...
cheers for now,
pj
