The new camera is here!!!!

Oh I can't believe it...it finally arrived. My long awaited camera. Yahoo!!! Kid in a candy store now. OK. blog world look out. Batteries are charging. But when they are ready.....oh my chicken pot pie...are we going to have fun!!!!

I know, I know....I shouldn't get that excited. But I have envied so many of you who have had the luxury of having a camera on hand to take the just so photo. Well, we finally broke down and decided to get one. Actually, what we did was this. Seeing as we can never seem to be able to use our airmiles for trips(never right time of year ...ya da ya da)hubby and I decided to cash in some of our points and get a camera. It's a Sony DSC- H2 6.0 mega pixels 12x optical zoom 1000 iso with a zeiss lens....so excited!!!!! Blog world beware. Woman on a mission with a camera.

Going onto nightshift tonight so won't get a chance to break it in. But I tell you once I do......wow!!!

I was looking out my window as I often do in the morning, and we have this family of quail about 18 of them that visit my bird feeder on a regular basis. The stellar jays are here as well( was going to post a picture of a stellar but blogger is acting up....yet again.)so that isn't going to happen.

Anyhow my fellow bloggers. I am excited!!!

Woohoo, congrats on the camera!! You will absolutely love having a digital camera and you'll find yourself taking pictures of EVERYTHING just so you can post it on your blog! lol Tell your hubby it's normal to take pictures of the food you cook too, cuz you gotta show your blogging friends! hehe Enjoy!

Congratulations on the wonderful new camera. I am so envious!!! All I have is a Sony Mavica 1.6 megapixels that is several years old. But, you can see what great pictures it takes and it is so easy to use. Yours, however, is the one that I really want now because of the zoom. Mine doesn't take really clear pictures when I zoom in.

So, we are expecting glorious pictures of everything you see from now on.

BTW, thanks for the great comments on my latest post on Old Kuttawa. I know you would absolutely love this place. We have rented boats (even when we owned a bass boat) and we have fished in the bays around this marina for years and years. Love it, love it, love it. As a matter of fact, there is one house that we see all the time that I wanted to buy, right on the water, but when it was for sale and we drove by it, the brochure said they wanted about $350,000 or more (can't remember). What's a poor retired slob supposed to do. Can't afford that (unless they wanted to downsize into our little old ranch worth about a third of that). Oh, well. Maybe one of these days I will win the lottery, but then I would have to start buying tickets, wouldn't I?

I'm glad you got your new camera. I got a digital one last year after years of 35mm cameras. It's great that you don't have to take the film in and can see your pics as you take them. Good luck with it.

I can hardly wait to see the pictures. I'm sure they will make me quite homesick. You must take a picture of the beach when the tide is waaaay out. I love Qualicum Beach.

I have Steller's jays here too. They come and "swear" at me through the window because I don't feed them.

Cheers,
Josie
