Yesterday while hubby was out in the yard the sound of eagles drew his attention to the sky....he looked up and saw two eagles soaring overhead....he rushed into the house to get the camera....this bird just perched itself right on a tree on our property.......simply amazing and majestic birds.... The birds have been bountiful at the feeders...nothing exotic...just the quail, stellar and a couple of other variety of birds....I just love watching them and their antics.....hubby was telling me that the other day when he drove by the estuary that he saw about 40 eagles in the trees...it really is a sight to behold........
So I will leave you with a thought for the day.....this one has to do with Responsibility:
Take your life in your own hands, and what happens? A terrible thing; no one to blame.

something to look forward to ;)
I can't see the first two photos but the last one is magnificent.
Love the quote RN
These really are majestic birds, aren't they? I see them soaring high above lots of times but never very close, like this.
What an amazing sight!!!!
Among all the birds, eagles are my favourite!!! that's a great shot!
It's that time of the year although there are some around all year here. I've always meant to take a trip to Brackendale. It must truly be a sight.
Wow! To be able to see eagles in your own backyard.
You are lucky.
wow...that is something...i have never seen an eagle that close up before.
The photos are great what a beautiful bird and it must have been amazing to see so many at one time.

Good thought.
I so love seeing them here too.
big! had no idea they were so large.
Wow what a sight.
I saw a Golden Eagle, soaring high in the Scottish Highlands.
Also got a close up view of a Buzzard sitting on a fence...it was enormouse and must have had a six foot, or more, wing span, when it took off. It had incredible markings, with bright yellow eyes and what looked like matching leggings!
Wondeful pictures of your Eagle Mary Anne.
Hope you are keeping well and not working too hard!
I've posted another bit of trivia on my site for your perusal..Do pop over.

How lucky to get such a closeup picture. We think we saw an eagle this last week flying past our cabin. It was fast and low, uncharacteristic of an eagle, but the body was large and dark and the head and tail distinctly white. That's the last we saw or heard from it. Wayne and I have been up at the cabin for almost two weeks straight so I haven't done much blogging or web surfing. It's nice to be back but sad to be away from the cabin. - Margy
You are lucky to have them so close. I've seen a few in my time but not that close.

Hi Mary Ann
I posted today some Eagle photos and used a similar title! They are amazing birds and the photos dont show their enormity!
I love the eagle pictures. Here in Michigan we see golden eagles occasionally, but not bald eagles. I have seen one from a great distance when traveling in Oregon, tho!
I have awarded you the Lemonade Award. Please visit here for details.
