Just wanted to wish all my blogging friends a wonderful and joyous Easter. I hope you are able to spend it with the ones you love!I'll leave you with the prayer from St. Francis of Assisi.....I remember learning this as a song when I was a little girl in elementary school.
Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.

Lovely poem - one of my favorites! Happy Easter.
Now if everyone would just try to practice the words of that poem, wouldn't life just be peachy-keen and as near to perfect as is ever gonna be possible? And doesn't that say what the great religions of the world ALL profess to believe and yet..well guess we've got a lot of work to do in that respect, don't we?
Thanks so much too for your comments on my Autism post for today and the insight you provided with respect to your youngest daughter's learning issues. Yep! We all do learn differently and can do well at learning too, once the correct key is used to open the door!
Peace, my friend and Happy Easter, too!
That's beautiful, Mary Anne...! It's so true, isn't it? St. Francis of Assisi was such a wise man.
Happy Easter to you and your family!
Good evening Mary Anne, I love this prayer as well..hope you and your family had a blessed Easter...
