Elaine At Home with Elaine is giving away vintage paper. Elaine has a lovely blog all decked out for the Christmas season.
Now with the American Thanksgiving behind us Christmas preparations are in full swing. I generally don't think of decorating until the first weekend in December but now with only having two days off a week I don't feel like I will have much preparation time. I think I am going to put up my lights, and decorations on the weekend but not the tree. My girls will be coming on the 12th of December for a visit so I think we will do the tree then. I am kinda of excited. I won't play any Christmas music until December first...I'm a bit of a stickler about that one.
Funny I am already feeling a tad stressed about not having one darn gift bought, any baking done nothing. One blogger brought to my attention that there are only 28 days till Christmas, well my goodness if that didn't but the fire under me. I know I will get it all done, but I will have to use my spare time wisely. Geesh....can we stop the clock just for a moment.
Happy Day all!!

My daughter is coming for a visit on December 11 but I don't know if I'll have any decorating done. I haven't done anything yet about Christmas. I also don't like Christmas music until December and normall don't want to decorate until later in the month.
Ah, Mary Anne -if your daughters are going to be at your place on December 12, then look up online the tradition of celebrating St. Lucia Day, which falls on December 13th. It's a big Swedish tradition but not one my family ever observed. However, our church has a big celebration of St. Lucia Day -complete with a pageant, crowning of the church's St. Lucia for the year and a great holiday style pot luck dinner. But -just thought I'd mention this celebration to you and maybe you and your daughters might enjoy giving it a whirl. (You don't HAVE to be Swedish to adopt a neat tradition, ya know.)
We always look forward to Christmas but then it's suddenly HERE and we all scramble to get ready. It's a gorgeous sunny day here so I bet lots of people will be putting lights up today or on the weekend. :D
Thanks so much for blogging about my teapot give away and thanks for "following me"! I'm finding so many nice new blogs. :-)
I feel the same way as you ...I haven't begun Chrsitmas decorating or baking, but I have shopped online as I have to send gifts to many who live far away. Enjoy it all and don't stress!
