Happy Halloween

Tonight is the night
When dead leaves fly
Like witches on switches
Across the sky,
When elf and sprite
Flit through the night
On a moony sheen.

Tonight is the night
When leaves make a sound
Like a gnome in his home
Under the ground,
When spooks and trolls
Creep out of holes
Mossy and green.

Tonight is the night
When pumpkins stare
Through sheaves and leaves
Everywhere,
When ghouls and ghost
And goblin host
Dance round their queen.
It's Halloween.

Hope your Halloween was hauntingly hot! I lost count as to how many trick or treaters we had last night but I know it was the most I've ever seen show up. We ran out of candy by 7:45 and I calculate we had at least 80-90 little (and some big ones too) haunters here! Mandy took Maya and Kurt out and surprisingly enough, there were no meltdowns with Kurtis. He had been fluctuating all day yesterday as to whether he was gonna go T&T but finally dressed and left. I had figured she'd be back in 5-10 minutes to bring Kurtis home but he made it the entire time without getting all wigged out over the other kids and their costumes. Progress, ya know! Maya thoroughly enjoyed herself.
